Interstate linehaul · Based in Brisbane

Interstate freight that
runs like a timetable

Nightly linehaul between Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in our own curtainsiders — your pallets ride with the same crew that strapped them in, and the ETA we give you is the one we hit.

[01 // The service]

Our own trucks on the M1, every night

We run curtainsiders and rigids up and down the eastern seaboard ourselves — no handing your freight to a broker and hoping. Brisbane departs at 19:30, Sydney wheels-down by breakfast, Melbourne the morning after.

Most of our interstate work is pallets — anywhere from a single skid to a full 22-pallet tautliner. We also take machinery, fit-outs and awkward freight that the big pallet networks won't touch because it doesn't fit their sort system.

  • 22-pallet tautliners and 8-pallet rigids, all ours
  • Live ETAs from dispatch, not a tracking page guessing
  • Tail-lift and hand unload available both ends

If a linehaul leg is going to miss its window, dispatch calls you before the trailer parks — not after you've already waited. That's the guarantee in writing.

What interstate freight costs

Charged per pallet or per lane, whichever's fairer for the job. Every quote is one written number — fuel levy already in it.

What you bookIncludesPrice
Single pallet BNE → SYDStrapped, wrapped, tracked door to door$165per pallet
Single pallet BNE → MELOvernight via Sydney hub, 2-day window$210per pallet
Half load up to 8 palletsPriority deck space, any seaboard lane$1,150per lane

Quotes valid 14 days. Residential or crane-pickup adds a fixed fee, stated upfront — never on the invoice as a surprise.

[03 // Process]

How interstate freight jobs run

Six steps, same every time. The boring reliability is the product.

Departs 19:30 nightly
Step 01

Send the manifest

Pallet count, weight, dims, both addresses. Photos if it's machinery or anything odd-shaped.

Step 02

Written quote back

Inside a business day — usually faster. One number, fuel included, valid a fortnight.

Step 03

Collection window

We collect inside the booked window, or you drop to our Hamilton dock by 15:00 for tonight's truck.

Step 04

Overnight linehaul

Freight rides sealed and strapped. Dispatch tracks the leg and updates you if anything shifts the ETA.

Step 05

Metro delivery

Our own metro vehicle does the last leg at the other end — no depot-to-depot handoffs.

Step 06

POD to your inbox

Signature, timestamp, delivery photo on request. Invoice matches the quote to the dollar.

[04 // Also on the trucks]

Need something next to it?

Most interstate freight jobs touch one of these.

[05 // On the job]

What a night on the lane looks like

Snapped between loadout and the morning unload — this is most of the job, honestly.

[06 // The crew]

The people on the night run

Interstate is the part of the business where experience shows. Our linehaul drivers average nine years on the same lanes — they know which servo has decent coffee and which rest areas to skip.

Dispatch sits in the same room as the dock crew. If a trailer's running late, the person telling you about it can see the truck on the GPS from their desk.

[07 // Compare]

How linehaul compares to the rest

Same depot, same crew — the difference is speed and distance. If the job's staying in SEQ, metro is usually the cheaper tool.

Interstate freight questions

The ones dispatch hears weekly. Anything else — call +61 7 3154 8823.

Brisbane→Sydney overnight, Brisbane→Melbourne two days, both on nightly departures. Canberra and Adelaide run on scheduled services twice a week. Regional lanes quoted per job.

Standard is 1.2×1.2 m and up to 1,000 kg a pallet. Oversize and over-weight freight goes as a dedicated job — we'll spec the vehicle when we quote.

Yes, with a tail-lift truck and a call-ahead. It adds a fixed residential fee — it'll be on the quote line before you book.

Carrier's liability cover applies to every consignment. For high-value loads we'll arrange full transit insurance and tell you upfront whether it's worth it — terms on our legal page.

Often, yes — machinery, crated stock, fit-out materials. Send photos with the enquiry and we'll tell you honestly whether it travels better on our truck or a specialist's.
